President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), President AKIA, Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and COAS Gen. Raheel Sharif are founders of new and stabilised Pakistan.

Protest against the PM continue to hit government’s developmental agenda as well as important projects like CPEC as indicated in the latest report of the World Bank, he said.

Mian Zahid Hussain said that retirement of Gen. Raheel will damage his agenda of brining stability by curbing economic terrorism which is widely supported by the masses.

COAS must continue until 2018 to put an end to terrorism and lawlessness in the country, he said, adding that DG Rangers Sindh Major Gen. Bilal Akbar is also part of the team of COAS which has ensured peace in Karachi and revived confidence of investors.

He lauded the extension of 77 days in stay period of Ranger in Karachi terming it insufficient as the force should remain in Karachi unless peace is fully restored and police is cleansed of politics otherwise questions about confidence of investors and masses will arise.

Mian Zahid Hussain said that Government and Army are on the same page after a long time which is ensuring stability of a country which was destined to become bankrupt few years back.

The developmental agenda of government has been endorsed by twenty two reputable international institutions which is result of efforts to the PM and COAS.

He said that Pakistan cannot afford absence of any on the two leaders from the national landscape which would be unfortunate.
