Chairman of National Business Group Pakistan, President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum, and All Karachi Industrial Alliance, and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain on Wednesday said the attacks and violent incidents on military installations, martyr memorials, and private and national properties on May 9 are very alarming.
The rioters involved in these attacks and the politicians behind them do not deserve any concession, he said.
Mian Zahid Hussain said that the amount of damages, which according to the initial estimate is around 60 billion rupees, should also be recovered from these miscreants and their patrons and any kind of restraint should not be shown to deal with such terrorists in future.
Talking to the business community, the veteran business leader said that the entire nation and the armed forces are suffering from grief over the events of May 9 and it had a very negative effect on the morale of the army.
The hostile nations are very happy over such gory events in Pakistan which they think is part of their unholy agenda against Pakistan.
Therefore, he said, we fully support the decisions made in the special conference of the National Security Council and Corps Commanders to punish the culprits.
Mian Zahid Hussain said that no one can be allowed to go to this extent for his alleged personal and political purposes. Anarchy is being fueled by propaganda against the military leadership which aims to create a rift between the people and the army.
It is necessary to deal with all the traitors, at home and abroad, with iron hands, while the propaganda of the enemy should be defeated with the support of the people.
Mian Zahid Hussain further said that it has become necessary to expose and crush the forces active in bringing unrest and disorder to the country so that the affairs of the country can be corrected and the economy can be improved.
No political organization can do such treatment to those who risked their lives to protect the geographical and ideological borders of the country, but only a terrorist organization can do it, therefore, after a wider and more transparent investigation, justice should be done in a way that deters people from doing so in future.
Without justice the economic and democratic stability in the country is impossible, he said.
