President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), President AKIA, Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain said DG ISPR intervention on Army chief’s instruction to conclude the Waziristan’s traders’ sit-in on a good note is commendable.
The veteran business while talking to the business community said establishment of various development projects in different agencies including Waziristan have increased the investment opportunities in the area, which will improve the standard of living of local people and will play vital role in economic development of the Country. Confidence of local traders will be restored in Government’s institution after their problems’ resolution and trade activities in the area will further flourish which will develop the local economy and will play significant role and sustainable peace in the area.
Mian Zahid Hussain said Pakistan army has established Wana Agri Park comprised of 350 canals of land where processing of Pine Nuts for which Pakistan is the second largest producer in the World. The Agri Park contains almost all facilities to process and store the locally produced agri-based products. Prior to its establishment pine nuts produced in Pakistan would had sent to China for processing; now the local producers can access the international market directly which will reduce the cost of doing business and will significantly increase profit margins.
The former minister said local and international investors can grab the huge opportunities of investment lies in the FATA area of Pakistan. Where all basic infrastructures has been developed by Pakistan Army. Investors can make significant profits by investing in different sectors which need to be further explored.
We appreciate the role of Pakistan Armed forces and the Chief of Army Staff for restoring peace in the all agencies including North and South Waziristan. The true potential of the area is yet to be discovered for which we encourage the investors to visit the area, see the investment opportunities at own and unveil the true potential of the region.
