President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), President AKIA, Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain on Friday said COAS Gen Raheel Sharif has pushed morale of masses and Army to new heights by dismissing serving officers involved in corruption.

The move will ensure stability, improve accountability process and unnerve the corrupt elements who have damaged country for personal benefits, he said.

Mian Zahid Hussain said that Raheel has won hearts and minds of people to become most popular person in Pakistan and his decision will go a long way in stabilising country.

He said that dismissal of Army officers was more important step than CPEC and other mega projects as nothing work in presence of corruption keeping economy down.

Pakistan has secured loans and grants worth 140 billion in past which has not changed anything due to rampant corruption in political and bureaucratic circles, he noted.

The business community highly values truthfulness and selflessness of COAS who is fighting our war, he said, adding that he is trusted more than anyone else.

Mian Zahid Hussain said that the elite involved in corruption and terrorism should be banned for life to participate in elections while middle class should be promoted like all the developed nations.

Politicians think that winning elections has absolved them of accountability and they are not answerable to anyone which is wrong. Clock is ticking for the corrupt therefore they should voluntarily return stolen funds, he advised.

Those who threatened army and claimed that worst democracy is better than a functional dictatorship have fled the country which indicate their attachment to masses and country.

Raheel has given marvellous results without touching Constitution or democracy which is very reassuring, he said.

Govt should take ensure corruption free environment in civil institution as well including TDAP, which is responsible for decline in Export of US$ 2billion.Apr 22, 2016 UApr 22, 2016 ENational Courier Jahan PakistanNawa e Waqt JangJurrat KhanbrainQuamiAusafBeoparNai Baat
